Jessica Toussaint, MHA
Congratulations to Jessica Toussaint for securing our first "Membership Spotlight" nomination for 2024!
Jessica Toussaint is a dedicated healthcare professional with a passion for making a lasting impact in the industry. She currently serves as a Primary Care Practice Manager, where she aims to elevate healthcare standards, focusing on delivering accessible, cost-effective, and positive patient care. Jessica also serves as treasurer on NAHSE DVC’s Executive Board.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Administration & Human Resources Management from Rider University in 2020, followed by a Master's in Healthcare Administration from Saint Joseph's University in 2022. Throughout her academic journey, Jessica has been an active member of the NAHSE and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), showcasing her commitment to professional growth and networking. She’s been a member since 2020, and her favorite NAHSE event, the Chat & Chew, highlights the importance of representation and connections in her career path.
Her experience as a Unit Secretary soaked her passion to become a healthcare leader, advocating for both patients and employees.
During the pandemic, she played a pivotal role as a Telehealth Coordinator by collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure successful Telehealth visits and improve overall patient care.
Breaking the leadership ceiling by obtaining her first Managerial role during her Master's program was one of her greatest professional accomplishment. In addition, her enrollment in a healthcare strategic leadership course at Princeton Medical Center allowed her to learn from respected leaders, shaping her leadership style and professional etiquette.
Jessica's ultimate goal is to make an iconic difference in the community by delivering high-quality, accessible care to patients while mentoring other healthcare administration students and early careerists.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling and discovering new restaurants. Beyond that, her enthusiasm for personal finance and investing reflects her commitment to continuous learning and securing a prosperous future.
