Mr Rahman will provide an overview of DiverseForce On Boards, an innovative leadership development program that trains mid-to-senior level professionals of color from the public and private sectors to serve more effectively on nonprofit boards in the region.

APRIL 30th: Volunteer at manna

​NAHSE and NExT Philadelphia are joining together to volunteer with the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA)!

What: Prepare nutritious meals with MANNA chefs for individuals and families with life-threatening illnesses

When: Tuesday, April 30th from 5pm-8pm

More Information:
Each month, 
MANNA’s staff and volunteers prepare and deliver more than 95,000 FREE nutritious meals to individuals and families living with cancer, diabetes, heart disease, renal disease, HIV/AIDS, and other life-threatening illnesses.

Volunteers will work on supervised tasks that our chefs assign such as chopping vegetables, packing meals, filling meal trays, making sandwiches, baking and any other tasks for the day.

For the third consecutive year, NAHSE will collaborate with HLNDV to honor Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy and serve our community. This service activity is coordinated by U.R.G.E.N.T. 365 Inc. 

SERVICE PROJECT & COMMUNITY BRUNCH: In partnership with tri-state area schools and community members, U.R.G.E.N.T. 365 Inc. will conduct a two-part neighborhood service project that includes street cleaning and gifting flowers to local residents. Participants will have the freedom to choose the service component that best aligns their skills and interests, and everyone will commune post-service project at the U.R.G.E.N.T. 365 MLK Brunch (12:30pm-2:30pm) being run in partnership with State Representative Chris Rabb. The service project is from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a 9:30 am meet up to distribute resources.
